Dental Veneers

Dental veneers are thin, tooth-coloured shells that are attached to the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance. They are extremely versatile and if you want to improve the colour, shape or position of your teeth, dental veneers might be the answer.

Veneers are made to correct a number of dental issues, including cracks, discolouration, misalignment and gaps in between teeth. Unlike treatments such as teeth straightening, which can take months, you could have your new smile weeks from now.

There are 2 types of veneers that we can offer you, Porcelain and Composite Resin Veneers:

– Porcelain veneers require a small amount of tooth structure to be shaved away. An impression is taken and sent to a skilled laboratory technician where your veneers will be crafted to your approved smile design. At your next appointment, they will be bonded to your teeth, providing you with a great new smile. They are mainly used for very discoloured teeth that cannot be whitened or masked with alternatives such as Composite veneers.

– Composite resin veneers use a bonding technique to layer tooth coloured material onto your existing tooth. This technique is far more preferable given that tooth structure does not need to be sacrificed and the treatment can be done in one appointment. They can also be repaired more easily than porcelain veneers and are more cost-effective.
