Composite bonding is the process of bonding layers of composite resin over existing tooth structure in order to improve the appearance of your teeth without sacrificing tooth structure. It can be used in situations to:
– Lengthen short teeth
– Close gaps in between teeth
– Rebuild worn teeth from tooth grinding or acid erosion
– Correct chips and fractures from knocks or trauma
– Hide developmental imperfections or staining
– Change the shape of the teeth
– Align teeth by camouflaging, if orthodontics is not possible
After a full assessment, the bonding can take place in one appointment. The teeth can be built up freehand or with the help of a wax-up made on your models. If you are not sure what kind of smile will suit you, our dentists can do a mock-up during the appointment to show you, before you commit to any further treatment. We would like every smile to be bespoke to the individual, so we can take time to add and adjust until you are happy.
