Update on Face-to-Face Appointments
Following the Government announcement of a second lockdown on the 31st October 2020, we wanted to update you on what this means for dental appointments.
First of all, we would like to reassure you that this does not affect healthcare. We are remaining open and will be offering face-to-face dental appointments as normal. We are proud that we can safely remain open so that we can carry out our usual procedures, as well as help other practices that have unfortunately had to close.
Please continue to book and attend your scheduled dental appointments as normal unless you have symptoms or have been asked to isolate, and provided you are able to attend our premises safely.
We are still here
Through our continual commitment to providing a safe environment and your flexibility to the new restrictions, we have managed to accommodate existing and new patients for emergency care, routine check-ups, and specialist treatments over the last four months.
We would like to thank you for your patience and flexibility during these difficult times and want to assure you that we are still here to offer quality, face-to-face dental care. The safety of our community (both our colleagues and customers) continues to be the most important thing for us. We’re committed to following government measures and have all the necessary infection control procedures and protocols in place as well as enhanced Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
What Have We Been Up To?
In our last update, we advised you of the changes we made to the practice so that you can return safely. As the guidance changes, we are continuing to update our protocols, so that we remain safe and can continue to provide dental care.
Those who have visited our practice will know that we go above and beyond to ensure that our cross-infection control is always to an exceptionally high standard. This was reflected in the report published by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) last year when they carried out their standard inspection. You can read more about the further changes we have implemented below.
Changes to Protect Both Patients and Staff
Be rest assured, that dentistry as a profession is historically one of the most heavily regulated regarding infection control and at the forefront when it comes to prevention of disease and infection transmission.
We appreciate your loyalty during the last 6 years and we look forward to welcoming you back soon to provide the same level of high quality and professional dentistry that you all know we do so well.
